Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede; an accountant by profession, is an experienced international development consultant with sector focus in construction, real estate and small business development. He is also a certified human capital and project management consultant. He is currently involved as the Deputy Team Leader/Intervention Lead GEMS2. GEMS2 is the UK Department for International Development (DFID) funded Growth and Employment in States (GEMS) programme with sector focus on Construction and Real Estate managed by Coffey International Development. At GEMS2, Afolabi is championing the delivery of affordable housing for the lower and lower-middle income earners in Lagos state through the Private Public Partnership (PPP) procurement methodology. He is also spearheading the implementation of the demand survey for affordable housing and related housing finance options for Lagos state. Afolabi is also the Pioneer Consultant of MCS Consulting Limited; an international strategic and project management consulting outfit. In the field of Project Management, he has been responsible for conceptualization, arrangement and delivery of infrastructure, commercial and residential projects. He has worked on major projects for the Africa Project Development Facility – an arm of the World Bank as an Associated Expert; building capacity for Business Associations and Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs). He was also the Resident Consultant in Nigeria for the Confederation of Danish Industries (DI) handling all executive and administrative matters as it relates to their World Bank/IFC partnership projects in Nigeria. With KPMG LLP’s Assurance services in the United States, Afolabi maintained a client service professional position. He conducted the development and establishment of an Inventory Control Unit for a global food Importer. He has also worked on Financial Statements Analysis engagements for several clients across the United States. Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede is a regular volunteer consultant with FATE Foundation and was awarded the 2009 Fate Outstanding Volunteer.
